A Stittsville Softball Boys Midget Level team was very successful in a major Ontario Amateur Softball Association, Midget Boys Select Level tournament held in Toronto August 12, 2006. They won 3-straight games against Toronto area teams to make it to the A division Championship final game of players ages 17-19 years. However, a Goulding Park team from North York defeated the Stittsville team in an exciting, hard fought, Championship final game. Select team players are typically made up of players from various teams within their association to form a 'competitive' team. The Stittsville team was formed soon after the Stittsville Minor Softball Association regular 2006 season ended.
