Winterball Registration Continues!
SMSA is offering two more winterball sessions starting in January 2018.
Each session runs from January through April and cost only $50!

Boys Mite/Squirt Winterball: The SMSA is proud to announce that there will be a competitive Squirt Boys “Selects” team for the 2018 season. The team will be coached by Al Read who is a level 2 softball instructor with approximately 20 years of experience coaching softball. The Selects program is simply an extension of the House League season for boys ages 10 and 11 (birthdates 2006 and 2007) who wish to continue playing softball in July and August at a higher level of competition. The Selects team will compete with other local teams of the same age group in July and August culminating with a selects provincial championship in mid-August.
In preparation of the upcoming season, the SMSA will host a weekly winter skills development program, run by coach Read commencing on January 8, 2018 through April 23, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8 pm at Westwind Public School. The cost to register for this development program is $50.
The winter session with be tailored for skill development for throwing, catching, fielding and hitting. The program is open for Boys age 9 - 11 (birthdates 2006, 2007 and 2008), so second year Mites are also welcome. Girls Bantam/Midget Winterball: SMSA is proud to offer another session of development for our oldest girl softball players this year. House league and Selects players are welcome to come work on their fundamental skills and get a head start on gearing up for the 2018 Softball Season. In preparation of the upcoming season, the SMSA will host a weekly winter skills development program, run by coach Kevin Daize and Carolyn Harman commencing on January 11, 2018 through April 26, 2018 from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm at South Carleton High School in Richmond.
